Immigrant background differences in the opportunity to obtain an apprenticeship
The purpose of this report has been to build on previous analyses and examine the relationship between immigrant background and the likelihood of obtaining an apprenticeship from 2017 to 2023.
CPI up 3.5 per cent last 12 months
From August 2024 to August 2025 the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.5 per cent, while the CPI adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-ATE) rose by 3.1 per cent. The CPI decreased by 0.6 per cent from July 2025 to August 2025, while the CPI-ATE decreased by 0.7 per cent in the same period.
Salmon price in the period of September 1st – September 7th
In the period of September 1st – September 7th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 70.20 per kilo, up 6.6 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.
Low price growth on manufactured goods
The prices that Norwegian industrial producers received for their goods increased overall by 1.7 per cent from August last year to August this year. On the export market, prices in August were 0.7 per cent lower than a year ago. Falling food prices are one explanation for the decline.
